These are the fudgiest brownies you’ll ever taste. When they’re fresh out of the oven they’re so soft and gooey and go perfectly with some vanilla ice cream (new homemade ice cream recipes coming soon!). Or, if you prefer them to be a little chewy and fudgy then I recommend putting them in the fridge overnight and eating them the next day.
One of the best things about this recipe is that it’s really easy to make. You can also add any additional flavours like chocolate chips, extra dollops of Nutella or my favourite which is Milkybar chunks.
What would you add?
Ingredients
- 300g Nutella
- 200g Salted butter
- 200g Light brown sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 300g Plain flour
- 150g Dark chocolate
- 40g Cocoa powder
Method
- Preheat your oven to 170 oC (338 Fahrenheit).
- Line an 8-inch or 9-inch square baking tray with parchment paper.
- Add the butter and dark chocolate to a saucepan and melt on low heat. Be sure to not burn the mixture. Once melted, remove from the stove and let it cool slightly. You can also melt this in the microwave or over a Bain Marie.

4. Crack the eggs into a bowl and add the light brown sugar. Using an electric whisk, mix on high until it becomes a thick and creamy consistency.
5. Pour the cooled chocolate butter and Nutella into the eggy mixture and whisk together until combined.

6. Sift the plain flour and cocoa powder into the bowl and gently fold together. It may look a little dry at first but it will turn into a fudgy mixture when ready.

7. Pour the mixture into the tray and then place it on the middle shelf in your oven. It should take around 25-30mins to bake. To check if it’s ready, pull the shelf out and gently shake the try. If it wobbles a lot, place it back in the oven for another 5mins, and repeat this until there’s a shiny top and the sides begin to come away from the the tray. Try not to over bake it, you want to it be slightly soft and fudgy. It should still wobble slightly when it’s ready to take out of the oven

8. Let it cool completely before eating. Unless you want a warm brownie then leave it for a few minutes before slicing and dishing it up.

9. When you’re ready to serve, cut them into slices or squares, cut some Ferrero Rocher’s in half and using a bit of Nutella, stick them on top of the brownie slices.
