Haidilao

I travelled 6,734 miles to try this place.

Now, before you ask, “isn’t there one in London?”, yes, yes there is. It was actually by chance I visited Haidilao in Singapore. I’d been meaning to try it for ages in London but never got around to booking a table so I’m really glad I was able to visit it. There are so many items on their menu and they even have their own sauce station. You can either make their recommended sauces or make your own creation.

In Singapore these were some of the dishes we ordered:

  1. Soup bases:
    • Signature Hot Pot-Tomato Soup Base
    • Signature Hot Pot-Three Delicacies Soup Base
  2. Iberico Pork
  3. Signature Beef
  4. Mashed Shrimpwah
  5. Leaf lettuce
  6. Tofu Skin
  7. Cheese Rice Cake
  8. Beancurd SKin
  9. Fried tofu skin
  10. Fresh tofu
  11. Deep fried mini buns
  12. Meat and chive dumplings
  13. Deep fried fish skin
  14. Cuttlefish balls
  15. Dipping sauces:
    • Haidilao-Styled Dipping
    • Mixed peanuts, sesame sauce, fresh chilis, spring onions, garlic, spicy roast beef
    • Mixed sesame oil, sea salt and sesame seeds

What’s great about these dishes is they soak up all the flavour from the soup making it extra tasty. In turn, the soup becomes richer in flavour as you cook more dishes.

Don’t forget to order the hand pulled noodles too!

I have since tried the one in London and whilst the menu was limited, it was still so tasty. I would highly recommend trying this place. Make sure you book before you go else you could end up waiting a few hours for a table! I’ve added a link to their there table booking for the London location.
